3. Purposes and legal bases
We process this data to:
provide the service (Free-Work link, offer detection, scoring, applications, tracking): performance of the contract;
send you service e-mails (account confirmation, password reset, invoices, sign-in issues): performance of the contract;
send push notifications: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time;
send you, every week, recommendations on your criteria, your CV and your Free-Work profile based on your activity (profiling): legitimate interest; you can object to this at any time;
ensure security, prevent fraud and limit abuse: legitimate interest;
invoice and meet our accounting and legal obligations: legal obligation.
4. Artificial intelligence processing
To assess how an offer fits your CV, and to generate your cover message when you ask for it, we send the text of your CV and the content of the offer to third-party artificial intelligence providers. We do not send your Free-Work credentials, your password or your search preferences.
The CV is sent as is: if it contains your name or contact details, they are part of the text sent; we advise you not to include them.
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Union. You can obtain details about these providers and these transfers by writing to contact@free-work-bot.com.
The AI output is for information only: it is not used to decide whether to apply. We keep the requests sent to the AI (text sent, provider, model) and the analyses produced for as long as your account exists. Each provider applies its own retention policy.
5. Weekly recommendations
Every week, we automatically analyse the offers the assistant retained or set aside for you over the last 28 days, to give you recommendations on your FreeworkBot criteria, your CV and your Free-Work profile. This analysis relies on statistical rules: it starts no new artificial intelligence analysis. It reuses the scores already produced by the AI analysis of offers (matching), without sending any new data to an AI provider or to Free-Work.
These recommendations trigger no automatic decision: nothing is changed in your criteria, your CV or your Free-Work profile, you decide.
You can object to this analysis at any time with the "Weekly recommendations" setting (on the web: Profile page; on mobile: Settings). Objecting immediately deletes the existing reports and no new report is computed. To build the report, we read the list of roles and skills of your Free-Work profile, already retrieved every night. This list (snapshot of your Free-Work profile) is deleted if you object, when you link another Free-Work account and with your account; otherwise it is purged after 12 weeks without refresh.
6. Automatic applications on Free-Work
When you turn on automatic applications, the app signs in to Free-Work with your credentials and applies on your behalf to offers that match your criteria well enough (fit score reaching the threshold). This feature is off by default and you can turn it off at any time. FreeworkBot is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Free-Work.
7. Recipients and processors
Your data is neither sold nor used for advertising. It may be shared with:
our hosting provider;
Creem, our Merchant of Record, which handles payment, invoicing and taxes;
third-party artificial intelligence providers, as described above;
the push notification service of your browser or device (Firebase Cloud Messaging), if you turn notifications on;
the competent authorities when the law requires it.
8. Retention periods
Account, search profile, CV, message and offer history: for as long as your account exists.
Requests sent to the AI and analyses produced: for as long as your account exists; they are deleted when you ask for your account to be deleted.
Recommendation reports: 12 weeks, then automatic deletion; deleted immediately if you object.
Connection logs (IP address, browser): for as long as your account exists.
Invoices and accounting records: 10 years, in line with legal obligations.
Push notification token: until notifications are turned off or you sign out.
9. Your rights
You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, and the right to withdraw your consent. To exercise them, write to contact@free-work-bot.com. To delete your account, follow the procedure on the account deletion page. You may also lodge a complaint with the data protection authority of your country (in France: the CNIL).
10. Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures: encrypted credentials, account passwords stored in protected form, encrypted connections (HTTPS), restricted access. No system is infallible, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
